| from the manifold is giving the controller an idea of what the pressure the cylinders are seeing. Pulling it from before the throttle flaps will give the controller an idea of what the pressure is on the surrounding parts. The pressure will be slightly different by the cylinders, not to mention that every time you shift gears, the pressure will go up before the Throttle Body, and down on the manifold side after the throttle body. Your goal is to measure the pressure introduced to the cylinders, not the pressure *leading* to the cylinder. The manuals I've seen also say to hook the sensor up to the manifold. In our case, the best place to get it would be on the Right side of the balance tube across from the small tube leading to the fuel damper.
